October 31^st 2021 will mark the start of an extraordinary first ever 2021 GLOBE 5.80 Transat (G580T), a single-handed solo race across the Atlantic in 19ft-5.8mtr home built plywood yachts. The idea of creating this new Mini Class of yacht, was launched in March 2020 just before the COVID dramas were kicking in. The G580T was announced at the same time and builders have been creating their adventure ocean racing Globe 5.80 yachts in garages, tents and backyards ever since.

This G580T website will cover all aspects of each edition scheduled to run every two years, the 2nd in 2023. The big event for these yachts is the 2024 Mini Globe Race, an event like the world has never seen before. Details are HERE.
